Yoga Teacher & Coaching Training Facilitated Online
Access our training anytime from anywhere in the world. Deepen your practice and enhance your teacher toolkit with our courses and trainings.
Our program is an alternative to in-studio Yoga Teacher Trainings, one that maintains both the depth of learning and personalized experience one should expect in a Yoga Teacher Training. My Vinyasa Practice is a Registered Yoga School (RYS) with Yoga Alliance. As of March 2020, Yoga Alliance instructed its RYS's to move their training programs online. Our 200 hour Yoga Teacher training is currently being facilitated online. Students can complete the entire training online, and at their own pace. All students who complete training are considered a Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT), and students who enrolls into training during their temporary online provision will have the option to register with Yoga Alliance. You can find our YA profile HERE. Once trainees graduate, they maintain access to training materials for life.
Our online Mindfulness Coach Certification gives you the tools to work with clients in a one-on-one setting to help them overcome limiting beliefs and realize their potential. Our unique program teaches you how to leverage mindfulness tools to learn how to manage thoughts and feelings, let go of limiting beliefs, and find sustainable balance. Trainees learn first how to identify limiting beliefs that are holding them back and how to use tools found within mindfulness to unlock their true potential.
As training progresses, trainees learn how to work with others in a coaching capacity to identify judgements and limiting beliefs. Once identified, these energetic blockages can be cleared. After completing the initial training in identifying and facilitating coaching opportunities in their clients, students will have the opportunity to work with both individual and group clients in supervised sessions during a guaranteed internship. Upon completion of this training, trainees will be Certified Wellness Coaches and capable of coaching clients one-on-one or in small groups.
Flexible Access with Community Connection
Register anytime and work at your own pace. All required texts are included in electronic format. Students will receive access to pre-recorded video lectures, asana practices with Michelle, written content, as well as a one-week pass to our online studio. Students also learn from live weekend lectures (Saturdays and Sundays via Zoom) which are recorded for those who cannot attend. We also offer practice teaching opportunities and over 15 weekly office hours with Lead Trainers and our Peer Support Team. These office hours provide additional learning and the opportunity to ask questions about content. Additionally, students can expect one-on-one coaching, unlimited access to lead trainers, podcast content, and access to a diverse and intimate online community with members from around the globe.
Become Certified
Once you have completed your training you will receive your certificate and be eligible to teach yoga anywhere at the 200 Hour level. Teachers are eligible to teach private clients, groups, and corporate clients in studio, gym, retreat, and clinical settings.
What You'll Learn
My Vinyasa Practice teaches on traditional yogic principles and history, and offers the most authentic yoga teacher training available. Our 200-hr training covers the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, the history and philosophy of yoga and Ayurveda through the lens of Tantra Yoga, meditation, dharma and karma, anatomy and physiology, sequencing and cueing, chakras, energetics and traditional practices to elevate consciousness, as well as introductions to Yoga Nidra, Restorative, Yin, Prenatal and the Business of Yoga.

Additional Reading: Light on Yoga by B.K.S Iyengar and the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali are highly recommended to obtain and can be acquired through your local library.

Your Instructor
Michelle is a highly experienced and dedicated yoga therapist and instructor with expertise in education, health and wellness, nutrition, yoga therapy, and yoga. With over 20 years of teaching experience, Michelle brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to her practice.
She holds an M.Ed in curriculum development, which enhances her ability to create comprehensive and effective certifications that meet the needs of her students. Michelle is also a certified Yoga Therapist, Ayurvedic Nutritionist, and Mindfulness Coach, providing her clients with a holistic approach to support their transformational journey.
As an E-RYT 500 (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher) and C-IAYT (International Association of Yoga Therapy) Yoga Therapist, Michelle specializes in working with individuals in eating recovery and cardiac rehabilitation. Her extensive training in Yoga, mindfulness, Ayurveda, nutrition, and biochemistry provides her with a deep understanding of these specific areas.
Michelle's teaching experience extends to various settings, including clinical environments, public classes, corporate settings, and private sessions. She also shares her knowledge and expertise through workshops and retreats, offering guidance and insights to individuals seeking to enhance their yoga practice and explore the transformative benefits it offers.
With a strong educational foundation and a commitment to ongoing professional development, Michelle continues to expand her knowledge in yoga therapy, Ayurveda, spiritual coaching, metaphysics, and tantra yoga. This comprehensive approach allows her to bring a well-rounded and integrative perspective to her teaching, helping individuals discover the profound mind-body-spirit connections that yoga can foster.
