Why Choose Coming Home to Your Body: Yoga Therapy for Healing & Acceptance?

Many approaches to healing focus on fixing, changing, or returning to who we once were. But Coming Home to Yourself: Yoga Therapy for Healing and Acceptance from My Vinyasa Practice offers a more compassionate, body-centered path—one that honors healing as a process of reconnecting with yourself exactly as you are. Part of the on-demand MVP Yoga Therapy series, this self-paced course integrates therapeutic yoga, breathwork, mindfulness, meditation, and evidence-informed practices to support healing with gentleness, awareness, and self-compassion. You’ll explore how life transitions, physical changes, emotional experiences, and identity shifts can impact the nervous system, body image, and sense of self while learning practices that help restore safety, soften self-judgment, and cultivate deeper acceptance.

Samantha Ruiz

This course helped me reconnect with my body in a way I didn’t think was possible. After major life and physical changes, I felt disconnected from myself for a long time. The practices were gentle, grounding, and deeply compassionate. I finished each session feeling more accepting of where I am right now.

Jerome Dale

Coming Home to Yourself felt less like a yoga course and more like a space to truly breathe again. Michelle’s teaching style is calming, supportive, and incredibly inclusive. I appreciated how the course acknowledged the emotional and nervous system impacts of change instead of focusing only on movement.

Irene Taylor

I’ve taken many wellness courses, but this one stood out because of how human and approachable it felt. The blend of somatic practices, breathwork, and reflection helped me soften years of self-criticism. I now feel more connected to my body and more compassionate toward myself.

Steady Ground: Yoga Therapy for Life in Transition

Change—even when it's welcomed or deeply desired—can be surprisingly dysregulating. Our nervous systems often respond to uncertainty, transition, and the unfamiliar with stress, even when we're moving toward something meaningful. This four-week experiential yoga therapy series offers a compassionate space to reconnect with yourself as you navigate life's many transitions.

Whether you're moving through a career shift, the end or beginning of a relationship, grief or loss, a changing identity, a health diagnosis, recovery, parenthood, retirement, relocation, or simply sensing that one season of life is giving way to another, each 60-minute session is designed to help you find steadiness from within.

Through therapeutic yoga, gentle somatic practices, breathwork, mindfulness, and nervous system regulation, you'll explore ways to meet change with greater presence, resilience, and self-compassion rather than resistance or overwhelm. Together, we'll deepen your understanding of the nervous system's response to uncertainty and change while cultivating grounding practices and somatic tools that create a sense of safety and stability from the inside out. You'll learn breathwork techniques to regulate anxiety, ease overwhelm, and build capacity for the unknown, while drawing on the wisdom of yoga philosophy to explore themes of impermanence, acceptance, surrender, and trust.

This is a space where all experiences of change are welcome. You don't need to know exactly what's changing—or have it all figured out—to begin. Healing isn't about controlling what comes next. It's about learning to meet yourself with steadiness, authenticity, and compassion as you move through whatever life is asking of you
