Yoga Therapy for Self-Study

Yoga Therapy for Self-Study is a reflective, self-paced online course that invites you to explore the transformative power of svadhyaya—the yogic practice of self-inquiry and personal study. Our Yoga Therapy for Self-Study mini series provides you with the tools and foundational philosophy to embark on your journey of self-study.  Using the Pancha Vrittis, the Yamas & Niyamas, and the study of the kleshas along with regulating breathwork, asana, and meditation, this mini series equips you to practice Svadhyaya. WHY SELF-STUDY?

Svadhyaya, one of the Niyamas from Patanjali’s Eight Limbs of Yoga, translates to “self-study” or “study of the self.” This sacred practice invites us to turn inward, reflect deeply, and examine the stories we tell ourselves—both conscious and unconscious. In a world that often encourages distraction and external validation, Svadhyaya helps us pause, reflect, and reconnect with our inner truth. By observing our thoughts, behaviors, and patterns without judgment, we cultivate awareness and begin to understand the root of our habits, triggers, and conditioning. This insight becomes the foundation for transformation.
