HOW IT WORKS
YOGA TEACHER TRAINING FACILITATED ONLINE
Access our training anytime, from anywhere in the world. Deepen your practice and enhance your teacher toolkit with our courses and trainings.
Our program is an alternative to in-studio Yoga Teacher Trainings, one that maintains both the depth of learning and personalized experience one should expect in a Yoga Teacher Training.
My Vinyasa Practice is a Registered Yoga School (RYS) with Yoga Alliance. As of March 2020, Yoga Alliance instructed its RYS's to move their training programs online. Our 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training is currently being facilitated online. All students who complete training are considered a Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT), and students who enroll into training during their temporary online provision will have the option to register with Yoga Alliance. You can find our YA profile HERE. Once trainees graduate, they maintain access to training materials for life.
To support your training, it is recommended to obtain access to the following literature:
- Light on Yoga by B.K.S. Iyengar
- Yoga Sutras by Patañjali
FLEXIBLE ACCESS WITH COMMUNITY CONNECTION
Register anytime, anywhere! Students will receive access to pre-recorded video lectures, asana practices, written content, as well as a one-week pass to our online studio. Students also learn from live weekend lectures (Saturdays and Sundays via Zoom) which are recorded for those who cannot attend. We also offer practice teaching opportunities and over 15 weekly office hours with Lead Trainers and our Peer Support Team. These office hours provide additional learning and the opportunity to ask questions about content. Additionally, students can expect one-on-one coaching, unlimited access to lead trainers, podcast content, and access to a diverse and intimate online community with members from around the globe.
BECOME CERTIFIED
Once you have completed your training, you will receive your certificate and be eligible to teach Hatha yoga anywhere at the 200 Hour level. Teachers are eligible to teach private clients, groups, and corporate clients in studio, gym, retreat, and clinical settings.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
In this training, you will learn a breakdown of Hatha Yoga through history and lineages of Hatha yoga. From where it was first practiced and by whom to the modern day take on the style of practice. Students will work through asana practices and meditations to find a connection with the experience. While some of you may be yoga teachers looking to increase your skill set or yogis looking to learn more about your passion, this course relates the philosophy into your experience and allow you to create an understanding and connection with the practice that is true to yourself. Each of these aspects of Hatha Yoga influences the mind, body, and spirit; but also reflects on how, when they are combined, they can change and create new experiences. Whether you are just applying these new understandings to your personal practice or expanding your knowledge as a yoga teacher, learn what Hatha Yoga is in our 200-Hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training!
Your Instructor
Maire’s yoga journey began years ago, looking to connect with and discover her true self. Once she sat on a cushion and stood on a mat she knew this was where she was meant to be. Her asana practice changed over the years from high energy to mindful awareness. As her personal exploration of the sutras deepened, so did her desire to teach.
Sharing her knowledge and love for yoga led her to complete several teacher trainings, Maire is an E-RYT 500 and an author of a 200hr YTT. Her students and fellow teachers enjoy the creativity and accessible sequencing she brings to every class.
“Becoming a Lead Trainer at My Vinyasa Practice has been one of the most rewarding experiences”, Maire.
