My Vinyasa Practice's Pranayama Training provides you with in-depth knowledge and practices to confidently instruct, as well as incorporate Breathwork into your existing offerings. Facilitating breathwork allows your students and clients to balance their experiences through the physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual body.
This training provides you with in-depth knowledge about the nervous system, neurotransmitters, and the way the brain responds to oxygen-rich and oxygen-poor environments. You'll learn the mechanisms behind the production of serotonin, dopamine, and oxytocin and you'll learn which pranayama practices benefit various pathological diagnoses so that you can better serve clients and students. This program is appropriate for yoga teachers and yoga therapists working in recovery, behavioral health, with trauma survivors, and with practitioners looking to intensify their pranayama practices.

Your Instructor
My yoga practice began in 2004 in Kuwait after the birth of my oldest son. I was looking for a way to get back into shape while cultivating some balance in my life. I studied Ashtanga Yoga both privately with my teacher and independently for a decade before I decided to take my practice to the next level.
I hold a M.Ed in Curriculum Development, I'm an E-RYT 500 with Yoga Alliance, and I'm a C-IAYT Yoga Therapists serving populations in Eating Recovery, Behavioral Health, and Cardiac Rehabilitation. Over the past decade, I've built a sustainable company in the health and wellness space that is geared to professionalizing the industry and creating equitable employment opportunities.
I teach public classes in Austin, Texas, I teach corporate classes and private classes as my schedule permits, and I host workshops and retreats. In 2020 I open my first yoga studio near at Jacob Fontaine Lane and we are opening our second studio on South Congress in 2023. It is an honor to be of service in this community.
